Lex Veldhuis becomes GGPoker ambassador!

One of the longest-tenured streamers is joining GGPoker. That means the Dutchman will be on the same team, among others, as Daniel Negreanu.

There is no other streamer this popular in the world. Over the years, Lex Veldhuis has built a huge audience. He is the only player who, for many years, has regularly, with very few breaks, been streaming poker on Twitch and YouTube. Now he will be doing it as a member of GGTeam.

The most popular Twitch streamer

Lex Veldhuis began his streaming career in 2016. So you could say he is one of the fathers of poker popularization. At a time when other streamers had only a few thousand viewers in total, Lex had even tens of thousands. His record is nearly 60,000 viewers, which no other poker streamer has ever reached poker. Today Veldhuis has 330,000 followers, but he now splits his attention between Twitch and YouTube. When YouTube became more popular for poker content, he started broadcasting there as well.

The Dutch poker player is known not only for streaming. He appeared on the poker scene in 2005. In 2010, he won the Main Event of the Dutch Poker Open. He also played in the World Series of Poker. He became one of the more popular young online grinders, which led to him signing a contract with PokerStars. Later he appeared on “High Stakes Poker”. He also played in “Big Game”. When he guest-starred in season 6 of “High Stakes Poker”, he played several very interesting hands.

In recent years, a lot has changed in Lex's life. He became a father, and in 2021 he had to move to Belgium in order to keep streaming at all. The laws changed in the Netherlands and Stars no longer had a license there. Although they later returned, Lex ended his partnership with that poker room at the beginning of 2026, after 17 years. At the same time, he streamed very little in 2025. He also moved with his family to Costa Rica.

Now he is joining GGPoker

At the beginning of 2026, Lex returned to streaming, from a different country this time. He played on GGPoker, so it was clear that the poker room would not miss the chance to sign such a popular streamer. From now on, Veldhuis will be playing on GGPoker.

Veldhuis has already played practically the biggest online tournament stakes in the past. So you can expect that now he will be streaming the biggest online events on Twitch and YouTube.
