Americas Cardroom: plenty of action, tons of tournaments, and a 100% bonus up to $2,000!

This poker room has been operating for many years. Today, Americas Cardroom is one of the more interesting places to grind cash games and tournaments. It offers plenty of action, a good selection of games, and an excellent deposit bonus.

The history of Americas Cardroom dates back to 2001. At one point, it began to gain significant popularity. It was one of those places where, for example, Americans played all the time. As part of and the flagship room of the Winning Poker Network, it continued to grow in popularity. Over time, ACR Poker began hosting some of the biggest tournaments, comparable even to those on PokerStars.

Americas Cardroom is a poker room that currently works with, among others, Chris Moneymaker and Tom Dwan. It is also closely associated with the Triton Poker Series, which it sponsors. The software has undergone major changes over the years, and it is fair to say that it is now one of the better platforms on the market. The poker room is an excellent place for tournament players and cash-game players to grind, as the prize pools are large and the action is genuinely solid.

Americas Cardroom Software

Americas Cardroom's software is genuinely very solid. The tabs at the top make it easy to switch between tournaments, cash games, staking, Blitz, and the rest. You can find all the information about bonuses and other matters in "My Account," while promotions and races are available at the top.

There is also a mobile version, and both versions work very well compared with how things were just a few years ago. During a grind on this site, you can use software such as PokerTracker.

100% Welcome Bonus up to $2,000

To start, you can take advantage of a very solid welcome bonus here, worth 100% up to $2,000. The minimum deposit is $25, while the maximum is, of course, $2,000. You do not need to enter a bonus code when making your deposit. The bonus is released at a rate of $1 for every 27.5 Award Points. At the start, this amounts to more than 20% rakeback.

Note: registering for the welcome bonus means that the player will not receive the fixed 27% rakeback.

The most important rules of the deposit bonus:

  • The minimum deposit is $25
  • $1 is released for every 27.5 Award Points
  • Points or rake paid toward The Best and Sit & Crush promotions, which are races, do not generate Award Points toward the bonus
  • You have 60 days to release the entire bonus
  • Tournament fees will be credited toward the bonus every 24 hours

Americas Cardroom Rakeback: two options, 27% or up to 65% through Elite Benefits

Americas Cardroom has two types of rakeback. The first is a flat rakeback rate that is always 27%. This is a single, fixed level that does not change. It is intended for players who do not play as regularly but still want to get some of their money back.

Note: players who choose fixed rakeback will not receive the bonus!

The second program is Elite Benefits, which is considerably more complex but also better for people planning a significant monthly or yearly grind. Here, rakeback starts at around 10% and can reach a total of 65%.

The basic rule is that a player's level depends on the number of Rank Points earned, which are then multiplied and credited as Combat Points. The first four levels are based on points collected during a month. The two highest levels have an annual threshold that must be reached.

Players at all levels participate in freerolls. Starting at the second level, the store also offers rewards such as cash, including $1,500 and $4,000 at the two highest levels. There are also so-called medals, which can be exchanged based on the Rank Points earned. For example, 750, 1,500, 2,250, and 3,000 points are each worth $50, with higher point totals later awarding more cash.

The Beast and Sit and Crush: two races for grinders

It is worth emphasizing that ACR Poker does a fairly good job of keeping players occupied, offering plenty of additional promotions. Two examples are the races The Beast and Sit and Crush.

The Beast is a straightforward race based on rake paid: one point for every two cents. The race prize pool varies, but it usually means competing for a significant amount of cash for cash-game players. One important detail is that MTT players have their own version, where points earn them entries to satellites for one of ACR's larger tournaments.

Sit and Crush is probably one of the few races in the world for players in Sit & Go, Jackpot Poker, and On Demand tournaments. The number of tournaments played is what matters here, and part of the rake goes into the overall race prize pool. This promotion also has a sizable prize pool, and the best way to check the standings is in the software.

Depositing at Americas Cardroom

ACR Poker is definitely a place to play for people who have no problem making cryptocurrency deposits. Available options include Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Tether. Luxon Pay is available among the e-wallets, and there is also an option to deposit by card.

Just remember that although $10 is the minimum deposit, a deposit of $25 is required to activate the bonus. The minimum withdrawal is $50. The poker room processes withdrawals fairly quickly.

Cash Games: Several Poker Variants

The action at the tables is usually quite good, although you should remember that it will likely be greater in the evening or even at night, as many Americans play.

NL Hold'em tables naturally dominate, with hundreds available at stakes starting at 1/2 cents. ACR also has plenty of Pot-Limit Omaha, PLO Hi/Lo, and even 5-Card Omaha tables. There are also Blitz games, a Fast-Fold Poker format, with stakes ranging from 5/10 cents to $5/$10. There are several Pot-Limit Omaha tables with stakes ranging from 5/10 cents to $5/$10.

Americas Cardroom also has special tables for players looking for action:

  • 7 Day No Rathole: special tables where players return with the stack they left with during the last 7 days
  • Bomb Pots: at these tables, during special hands held up to 4 times per hour, every player must put 4 blinds into the middle in 6-max games or 2 blinds in 9-max games.
  • Other tables: standard, Short, All-in or Fold, and Cap.

An Excellent Place for Tournament Players

The tournament schedule at Americas Cardroom is genuinely excellent. There are tons of tournaments, they start practically every few minutes, and the poker room now also has somewhat shorter late-registration periods. In the past, they could last several hours.

Americas Cardroom offers plenty of NL Hold'em tournaments in various formats, including progressive knockout, freezeout, paid final tables, bounty tournaments, and more. There is also good news for players of other variants: Stud, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Omaha Hi/Lo are all available. Like its competitors, ACR also organizes massive festivals with truly enormous prize pools.

What we personally also like is the Steps satellite system and the sheer number of satellites overall. For example, you can qualify for the most expensive tournament, the Venom, which has a $2,650 buy-in, starting with free satellites or satellites costing just a few cents!
